The 2010 Fall Conference started with a session on schools and housing. The focus was on the effect of homelessness and residential mobility on children's school outcomes. Throughout the day, faculty, students and community members presented an exciting array of topics ranging from youth violence to food systems to healthcare. The conference ended with a discussion on how academia, and specifically Vanderbilt, can better engage the community.

The 2009 Fall Conference featured 20 presentations from faculty members, graduate students and research teams on a wide range of topics related to health, education, neighborhoods and other community issues. In addition, the students working with community partners through the Center's new Community Matching Program presented summaries of the projects they will be doing with their agencies in the coming weeks and months.
