Assists with project development. Make individuals and groups aware of funding opportunities through targeted searches. Alert faculty to grant proposal deadlines. Facilitate the development of competitive proposals. Obtain feedback/suggestions on proposal development. Interface with Vanderbilt's Division of Sponsored Research, Development & Alumni Relations Office, and the Institutional Review Board on behalf of proposers. Assist facult and graduate students in understanding and navigating the applicable administrative procedures, processes, and requirements of the University, funding agencies, etc. Help to organize complex proposals according to agency guidelines. Work with faculty post-award to submit reports at the end of the grant or fellowship period. Serves as a public information specialist, assisting in the dissemination of research and development findings through the PRO website, and the university news service. Assist in coordinating web development and providing backup, for PRO projects.
