Short Biography
Professor Heflinger's research focuses on child and adolescent mental health, substance abuse, and health services. Her expertise and research interests lie in family and system-level issues affecting the implementation of policies for children's services. She teaches graduate community research methods and community health, focusing on the social determinants of health and mental health.
In her role as Associate Dean for Graduate Education at Peabody College, Professor Heflinger oversees professional development and program progress and resources for the Ph.D. students.
