The Register—Students with extraordinary scores on the SAT at age 12 go on to achieve exceptional life success into their 30s, researchers have found.

JAMA.com—A new study has found that children of depressed parents have high rates of anxiety, disruptive and depressive disorders that begin early, often continue into adulthood and are impairing. Judy Garber, professor of psychology and human development, took part in the study.

The Knoxville News Sentinel—Op-ed by James Guthrie, professor of public policy and education and director of the Peabody Center for Education Policy, on the importance of education-related issues in the upcoming state elections.

The Washington Post—As friends and strangers around the world mourned the death of Tom Fox, the Virginia peace activist who was kidnapped and slain in Iraq, they found comfort and hope in the writings he left behind. Fox graduated with a double degree in music performance and education from George Peabody College for Teachers, now part of Vanderbilt.
