Camilla Benbow: Summer learning options affordable
New Peabody graduates fill teaching roles in Nashville’s lowest-performing middle schools
Commencement 2012 Recap
Peabody Professional Institutes are residential in nature. Summer Fellows live in residence halls and take their meals as a group with PPI faculty. In the evenings, fellows will work together on projects and case studies, and prepare for the following day’s activities.
On-campus living is an important component of the educational experience and is strongly encouraged. PPI takes as one of its goals the creation of a cadre of professionals who will rely upon each other for support and advice. The close associations developed through the living and learning experience will serve fellows well beyond the conclusion of an institute.
On-campus Housing
Summer Fellows will reside in the Martha Rivers Ingram Commons residence halls within a short walk of the Peabody campus. Each participant will have a private, air-conditioned room equipped with wireless internet (towels and linens are provided). Bathrooms are community-style, with several small facilities on each floor. Each bathroom has a maximum of 2-3 sinks and private shower stalls.
Off-campus Arrangements
For individuals who choose the off-campus option, PPI has secured rooms at the Hampton Inn Vanderbilt West End.
Please contact the PPI office at ppi@vanderbilt.edu for more information.
