New Peabody graduates fill teaching roles in Nashville’s lowest-performing middle schools
Commencement 2012 Recap
Higher education administration has never been more important or challenging than it is today. The institute for Higher Education Management offers new leaders with fresh insights and strategies to help them effectively and creatively lead their organizations.
This week-long institute is intended for individuals in senior management positions in higher education, or those who aspire to such positions, and want to acquire new tools and ideas to contribute more meaningfully to the total operation of their institution. To be an effective leader requires a broad knowledge of the entire learning organization, from governance and management to admissions and student affairs, from academic planning and budgeting to state and federal higher education politics and policy making. The institute equips participants with a deeper understanding of each of these critical areas.
"I have just been hired for a new position. It is certain that I will be helped greatly by all that has been learned! The presenters were excellent; knowledgeable, engaging and offered "cutting edge" research and ideas. I will be able to apply what has been learned to improve my institution and the very quality of teaching, access, and quality of student lives." - HEMI Summer Fellow 2010
