Literacy and New Technologies
How are new technologies influencing literacy use and learning? How can new technologies be used by educators to support student and teacher learning?
- Synchrony (studying youth networks across time-space) is a research study that follows the naturally occurring communication practices of a group of teens online and offline, across school contexts and home contexts. The research is focused on how youth use everyday Internet Communication Technologies (ICT's), such as instant messaging, web logs, web surfing, and online gaming. Profesor Kevin Leander is principal investigator on this project.
