Corbette's particular areas of expertise are diversity in the workplace, gender issues, risk financing and the healthcare industry.

In 2006, APIW named her the Insurance Woman of the Year and Risk & Insurance named her one of their inaugural "99 Power Brokers." She has served on the boards of: Definity Healthcare, Sterling Insurance Company, the CPCU Board of Governors, and the alumni board of the Owen School at Vanderbilt.
